The Four Way NYS Congressional Race in Manhattan
ICE Profiteer Lasher, Former Palantir Professional Bores, Attorney Anti-Trumper Conway & Trust Fund JFK Grandson Schlossberg
We Prefer George Conway - but See What we Found below and Decide for Yourself

The Back Drop is an Out-of-Control System, Facilitated by the Supreme Court's Failed Decision, which Enables Billionaire Purchases of the Electorate, via Disinformative TV News Ads & a Media that No Longer Serves the Public
All too slowly, voters are waking up, to how their representatives, and thus government, are being purchased right in front of their eyes.
The biggest part of the problem, I have decided, is the corrupt billionaire-owned, network TV News, which is now controlled by about six billionaires, who have little competition in the TV News space. How this happened, beginning circa the 1980's, when billionaire Rupert Murdoch of Fox News started purchasing mass media outlets on our shores, is another story, for which there's not enough time between now and election day, Tuesday, June 23, 2026.
So for the moment, let's focus in on something we can take some positive action upon. And that is to vote for those candidates who will represent us when making decisions in Albany or Washington, D.C. One of the most important of these races, has been laid before the people of U.S. Congressional District 12, where four well-funded, fairly well known, candidates are vying to replace Jerry Nadler.
District 12 was redistricted in 2023 and Nadler, originally representing NYS U.S. Congressional District 10, defeated Carolyn Maloney, who was the incumbent of NYS U.S. Congressional District 12, but which had been redistricted in Nadler's favor electorally. Nadler has represented this district for 34 years, so this will be a big change. Maloney has endorsed Bores. We choose George Conway.
1. a. Nadler's Chosen Heir - Micah Lasher Whose Wife Makes Millions from ICE Contracts
New York politics has a long history of successor 'heirs' to political office. When I first started paying attention to politics I was suprised at how many people who held public office, were essentially selected by their predecessors or who were related to their predecessors or someone else in the Democratic Party Machine.
Micah Lasher is an NYS Assemblyman since 2024. He previously held a number of other positions in NYS government, most notably in 2013 plus, as a Chief of Staff for Attorney General Eric Schneiderman, who has endorsed him. Schneiderman resigned from his position in 2018, after allegations of abuse of female companions, including violence, were made public.
Lasher also worked for Alphabet [Google] for a few years [2017 - 2020] and in the NYS Governor's Office for Hochul [2021 - 2024].
1.b. Follow the Money - Lasher's Wife Elizabeth Mann Makes Millions from ICE Contracts
But the biggest story of who Micah Lasher really is can best be explained by who he is married to. Her name is Elizabeth Mann, and she's a financial executive, who according to the NY Post, " ... [became] the chief financial officer of Verisk Analytics in July 2022 ... [and] ... Mann has also pocketed nearly another $17 million in salary, stock awards and other payments from the Jersey City-based company, proxy statements show ...".
So while Lasher publicly rails against ICE, his wife profits immensely from ICI.
Lasher was Schneiderman's Chief of Staff when the abuses of women began in 2013, so he may not have known, or he may have looked away. But he is clearly looking away now, at his wife's business dealings with an agency that he rails against. In my book, you now know what you need to know about Lasher.
Much of Lasher's funding comes from out of district donors.
The media has failed by distracting from his wife's business dealings, by labeling him a nerd, instead of labeling him a deceitful profiteering hypocrite.
√ _ 2. Follow the Loaned Money - George Conway - Attorney & Ex-Husband of Kellyanne Conway Trump's First Campaign Manager
George Conway is perhaps the easiest to understand. He's an attorney who landed a job with a prestigious firm and made money trying cases, one of which went to the Supreme Court, which he won.
He was married to Kellyanne Conway who was the campaign manager of Trump's first run for president, and she became a well known senior advisor at the White House following Trump's win. Her husband, George, meanwhile, became an outspoken Trump critic at the time, which he has been ever since.
George Conway has received significant donations, which based on what information I could gather, appear to be significantly from Manhattan. He also loaned his campaign $2 million.
3. Follow the Money - Alex Bores - ExPalantir Employee Who's EpiCenter of AI Battle
Alex Bores spent some time in his career working for Palantir, one of the leading privacy-invasion AI companies. He has a data science background. He left Palantir under differing narratives - one about harassment and another about taking exception to how Palantir was enabling ICE tracking of immigrants.
He ran for NYS Assembly and won two terms. During his time in the Assembly he passed a bill putting some guardrails around AI development and use in NYS. He says it is for that reason that he's being targeted by one group of AI folks, while he is also being supported by another group of AI folks - all with big money. It appears to be Open AI vs Anthropic and what's unclear are the motives of both.
There's a big money war over AI regulations looming, which both sides are funneling big money into. So Bores may be an upcoming hero, or not. It could be one side is right and one is wrong - or that both sides are wrong. At this time I don't yet have a good understanding of the AI issues at stake here.
According to City & State only 12% of Bores' funding comes from NY 12.
4. Jack Schlossberg - Grandson of JFK
That's the whole story. If you take away the name and genetic link to a former president, you end up with a young man who appears to be trying to trade on his family name. I haven't seen any real interest in policy, government or politics, only the fame of public life.
The position he has held the longest, was serving as a committee member of a Foundation named after his grandfather.
Schlossberg has raised between $1 - $2 million from 35,000 - 45,000 small donors.
